Climax High Sell Signals

Stock Signals - Climax High Sell

The table above is a computer-generated, filtered, sorted list of any stocks in the database that are generating a Climax High signal. The Climax High is a free, proprietary sell signal of our own design. It's designed to pick a top at the exact high price, on the exact day, and will usually forecast an intermediate-term or longer bearish swing. Note however that the Climax High is somewhat less reliable than the Climax Low, particularly in a powerful bull trend. There will be numerous bouts of selling on the way up, and some Climax High signals will be generated, but then the market may only go down for a day or two before resuming the uptrend. In this situation the high of the Climax High signal can be used as a pivot point for an upside breakout.

The climax high signal is based on volume action as well as price action. It works particularly well on market indexes and ETFs (so-called Exchange-Traded Funds), probably because they represent an average of a number of individual stocks and any price and volume irregularities get filtered out. Whatever the case, a trading system using Climax High (and Climax Low) signals on ETFs can be highly effective.

If the table is empty, that means there aren't any stocks putting out signals at the moment.

The list is updated intraday (every 30 minutes) and is subject to change, so check back often. The header block shows the stock name, symbol, date, open, high, low, close, volume, and price change, followed by the earnings per share rank, relative strength rank, accumulation-distribution percentage, market cap, average volume, and percentage the current price is from the all-time high.

The relative strength rank is plotted as an indicator in a window at the top, in black, and below that is the price chart, in candlestick format. The 50-day and 200-day eXponential Moving Averages (XMAs) of price overlay the candlesticks in blue and red, respectively. The volume histogram bars are plotted under the price bars, logarithmically-scaled, with the 17-day XMA of volume overlaid in blue.

Charts on this page show the Climax High sell signal(s) as a bright red candlestick (paintbar). The Stock Signals charts contain just a single paintbar for the signal at hand, each with a unique color, as opposed to the charts on the Stock Picks pages which all have a default set of signals applied.
